A classic is not a modern car with old paint. Single stage finishes, thin original clear coats, chrome, vinyl tops and rubber seals all need a lighter hand and a slower process. We come to the garage and work by hand.
Single stage paint has no clear coat to protect it, so polishing removes colour, not just haze. Original paint may be thin in places you cannot see, chrome pits if you use the wrong polish, and water pushed into a seam or a vinyl top seal turns into rust and mildew months later.
We start by reading the car, not by picking a package. Hand wash, no pressure into seams or window channels, hand polishing where the paint allows it, and protection chosen so it can be removed later without damaging originality.
Single stage, resprayed or original all behave differently. We test a hidden area before touching a visible panel.

Chrome gets a dedicated polish, not paint compound. Rubber and seals are fed rather than dressed with silicone that dries them out.
